Factors affecting printer nozzles
Temperature problem
When the temperature drops, do you think it's just that you'll catch a cold and have a stuffy nose? Our printer nozzles are also stuffy. After the temperature decreases, the nozzle is easy to form a "false blocking phenomenon", which is called "disconnection" in the industry. This is because of the viscosity of the ink and the absorption and drying of the ink as soon as the temperature decreases, which is not conducive to the absorption of the ink by the printing medium coating and the volatilization of the ink solvent. It is easy to cause the phenomenon of "ink pile", and the viscosity and viscosity of the ink become larger. The nozzle is working at high speed, It is easy to break the line. If this happens, don't worry first. This is not an ink problem or a nozzle problem. Direct cleaning can solve this nozzle blockage!
Humidity problem
In winter, the temperature is low, the relative humidity will be lower, and the air is relatively dry. Drying will cause the ink to condense easily on the nozzle, causing the illusion of "blocking the nozzle"; Dry environment is more likely to make the material curl. Pay special attention to PP paper. When the material curls, it may touch the nozzle, and in serious cases, it will cause damage to the nozzle and motor.
Dust and static electricity
Dust in the air is easy to adhere to the surface of printing materials, and under the action of static electricity, it will further adhere to the surface of the nozzle and block the spray hole. Static electricity will lead to a decline in printing quality. Most printing media are "insulated". If industrial printers do not have good anti-static measures, or there is no grounding wire, the ejected ink droplets will deviate from the direction due to static electricity, resulting in the "flying ink" phenomenon, and the printing quality will be seriously reduced, Causing poor printing quality.
Due to the influence of climate and some physical phenomena, the printer nozzle is likely to be damaged, so we must take preventive measures, such as cleaning and maintenance of the equipment to ensure the appropriate temperature (20-28 ℃) and humidity (50%-70%) in the working area. If there is a problem with temperature and humidity, we can also add a "humidifier" and install an "air conditioner" to control the temperature.
Cleaning methods and precautions for nozzle blockage
Ink extraction cleaning
When the ink pump is in the initial position, use the needle cylinder with a hose to connect to the waste ink pipe to pump about 5ml of ink. Do not make the inner cylinder of the needle cylinder rebound, which will cause color mixing of each nozzle. In the process of ink pumping, if the nozzle protector is not tightly sealed, you can gently move the ink cart by hand to ensure the good sealing of the nozzle and nozzle protector.
Injection and extraction cleaning
Remove the car head to the waste ink tray, connect the syringe containing cleaning fluid with the ink needle of the nozzle with a hose, and inject and pump back with appropriate pressure until the nozzle sprays a complete fine line vertically.
Print cleaning
Use a special "nozzle cleaning fluid" to replace the ink that has blocked the nozzle, print the color block of this color with vector graphics software, until the nozzle blockage is removed, and then replace it with the original ink.
