Collection of all Points of Print Head Maintenance (1)

July 27,2022

Equipment maintenance is the top priority, and print head maintenance is particularly important. Today, I share with you all aspects of print head maintenance under various circumstances. Of course, it is mainly "prevention first", for reference only:

print head

The maintenance of the print head after the equipment is installed and at the initial stage of equipment startup

  1. To make the print head enter the best operation state, before the equipment officially starts to undertake the production business, please use 1 to 2 days to print as many pictures as possible. The pictures are preferably CMYK, which are used in all four colors, and C, m, y, and K4 color bars should be added on both sides of the picture to ensure that the four print heads are always in the inkjet state.

  1. When painting, it is best to take out the moisturizing sponge in the rightmost cleaning station together with its bracket.

After finding that the nozzle is slightly blocked

  1. When you find that the nozzle is slightly blocked during the spraying process, you should not hesitate to press the pause key to pause the printing operation, and then use a vacuum cleaner or manual air pump to spray ink from the nozzle for nozzle cleaning. After cleaning, you must spray some cleaning fluid onto the nozzle surface with a plastic squeeze bottle to remove the residual ink.

Note: do not use the manual air pump too hard, otherwise the print head will be damaged due to excessive pressure.

  1. Timely, decisive, and thorough treatment of slight nozzle blockage is very important to maintain the best working condition of the nozzle during the long-term printing process!

  1. In addition, it is also necessary to carefully check the print head and find out the cause of nozzle blockage.

When nozzle blockage occurs frequently in the spray painting process

  1. First press the pause key to pause the painting operation, and then press the purge key to move the machine head to the leftmost cleaning position.

  1. Keep the equipment power on, and unplug all the signal wires of the liquid level sensor connecting the auxiliary ink tank to the head control board.

  1. Pull out the ink supply pipe (from the auxiliary ink tank) on the print head, and then use a glass syringe to extract a special cleaning solution to clean the print head. Method: use 40ml of cleaning solution every 10 minutes, 3-4 times in total.

  1. After cleaning, plug in the ink supply pipe and the signal line of the liquid level sensor again, and then continue the previously suspended printing job.

Maintain the nozzle after daily work

After all the printing jobs are completed every day, to keep the print head in the best working condition and avoid blocking the nozzle due to the volatilization of solvent ink, please maintain the print head as follows and leave the equipment overnight.

  1. Turn off the power of the device.

  1. First clean the moisturizing sponge with a special cleaning solution, and then pour the cleaning solution on the sponge to make it wet.

  1. Move the machine head back to the rightmost cleaning station and closely connect the nozzle with the moisturizing sponge.

  1. Keep the equipment in this state overnight.
